Equipped with a micro-biosensor as in the catheter-type and sealed in a hard shell, this type can be inserted into the body in arthroscopic procedures and can be designed in accordance with its intended use. The lack of pressure and depression sensors keeps the design simple and slim.

This type has been used for the detection of lung cancer and for internal organ measurements.
